Dad came up to this exact spot every August for thirty years. He'd drive eight hours from Sacramento, set up a chair, and not catch a thing. He passed in 2020 during the pandemic and we couldn't all be there. We came back together in 2022 to leave a small carving on the tree he always sat under.
